Welcome to Yumi & Fumi Handmade Crafts!

Hellllllooooo!!!!
We are sooo very excited to have you visit us today!  What's so special about today you might ask?  Wellllll, today two crafting buds, Renate' Yumi Winter and Leanne Fumiko Poe (aka Fumi), get to realize a little dream come true.  Check out our bios under the Yumi & Fumi page above.

We're excited to announce our leap into the stamp world!   Our company, Yumi & Fumi Handmade, will debut this weekend (July 14-15) at the Stamp in the Hand Original Rubber Stamp Convention in Carson, CA.  If you are in the area we would LOVE for you to stop by and see the results of what a year of planning, lots of long hours and hard work has wrought. Yes, we are jumping right in and we want you all to join us! What's a little leap between friends?! :)

Our store & website are almost ready!  Once it goes live you will be the 2nd to know.  We'll be the 1st.  :)  Any questions on ordering stamps?  Just email us at yumi.fumi@yumifumihandmade.com

Here is another small part of our new adventure we want to share with you...

Welcome to the Yumi & Fumi Handmade Crafts blog!

It's our first blog post as Yumi & Fumi Handmade. Whoo Hoo!  This blog was created to share our new stamp line, Yumi & Fumi Handmade, and to share handmade creations.  Today we wanted to give you a little introduction to our blog, a bit about us and share what excitement we have in "store" for you.  Best of all... we're here to share smiles, and welcome old & new friends. We'd love for you to join us and help spread the word. Here's a fun badge you can put on your blog and link back to us (http://yumifumihandmadecrafts.blogspot.com/).

We're planning all kinds of fun for the next few days including an introduction to our team, a mini blog hop. What's a blog hop without prizes? If you want to see what they are mark your calendars, July 12th - 15th and be back for the hop.  Another fun feature to add... All of the designers will share their very own how-to/tidbit/tutorial each week which will lead us in to our very first challenge on August 19th.  We're giving you some time to look around our blog, get familiar with it and also to purchase some of our stamps.  Yes, in order to participate in our challenges you must use a stamp that is listed on that page and sold in the store.  Check out the Challenge info page for more details.

Renate' and I have some people we want to say Thank you to.  Without their help and support it would still be just a dream to us.

Mahalo to our awesome illustrator, Amy Beard, our #1 behind the scenes guy, Zach and an amazing supporting cast of family and friends. We probably would have taken longer to get here if it weren't for some really amazing people from the craft world.  A big MAHALO to Irina & Eric from La-La Land Crafts, Sparkle Smith from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, Norm Yoshida from Hanko Designs, Jenny Sakamoto from Sister Stamps and Mike Eaton of Eaton Designs for their help, advice and support. We've learned so much from each of you... Thank you!

We definitely cannot leave out our amazing designers who, as you will see, brought life to our little characters. You get to meet the team tomorrow.  I'm sure you will see some very familiar faces. :)
